Yocha NewsNowadays many products in the form of creams, potions, lotions, and medicines that promise to make you look younger. But all these things would not be useful if you keep doing some bad habits that can make you old fast.

Based on the study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine is known that there are four bad habits that will reduce your lifespan by more than a decade ahead of his time, namely smoking, physical inactivity, poor diet and high alcohol consumption.

"You only need three or more servings of fruits and vegetables a day, exercise for 30 minutes four times a week, quitting smoking, and avoid drinking alcoholic beverages to live longer," said Elisabeth Kvaavik, PhD, head of research at the University of Oslo in Norway.

In the study, Norwegian researchers interviewed nearly 5,000 adults in the mid 1980's and collect data about exercise, smoking habits, and tendency to drink, as well as consumption of fruits and vegetables. Researchers followed the group for 20 years, and during that time 1080 people with 431 people died due to cardiovascular disease, 318 people from cancer, and 331 for other causes.

On the other hand, the researchers found the risk of death of four people who have bad habits are essentially the same as a healthy person age 12 years older. Here are strategies to avoid bad habits such as quoted by Rodale, Monday (4/30/2012), among others:

    1. Smoke
A study suggests that people will be able to quit smoking by themselves when thinking about impact on the health of family members and people you care about. Once you break the habit, experts advise to clean the carpets and furniture that contain toxic chemicals in the paint by leaving it in the hot sun to help break down some of the harmful contaminants.

    2. Drinking alcoholic beverages
Try to consult a therapist who can help you be free from alcohol addiction. Gradually leave the habit of drinking alcoholic beverages by reducing the dosage or choose organic red wine containing greater amounts of phytochemicals that may protect the heart and helps regulate metabolism.

    3. Poor diet
Processed foods are sometimes more practical and readily available than fruits, vegetables, and grains. But now it's time to start making healthy eating habits by replacing instant foods in containers in the refrigerator with fruits and vegetables.

    4. Lack of physical activity
Research has shown that exercise has the ability-even more than drugs to increase the production of chemicals in the body that are important to improve mood, reduce stress, and reduce the risk of chronic disease. Take your time to exercise four times a week for 30 minutes.
