Yocha News - Giants Brian Wilson has more "structural problems" in his elbow throwing and probably require surgery, Manager Bruce Bochy said this afternoon.

Wilson had an MRI on the elbow Friday night after telling the coach he felt pain in the elbow during throwing against the Colorado Rockies Thursday, the team trainer Dave Groeschner said. The tests showed the ligament problem, Bochy said.

The Giants are looking for a second and possibly third opinion before deciding whether Wilson required surgery, which makes the season in jeopardy. Groeschner said Mr. Wilson would "probably" orthopedic sports medicine see Dr. James Andrews noted.

"Chances are, he led the operation, to be honest," Bochy said. "But you hope that you always see something different."

Bochy said that for now the Giants will manage the functions closer by committee.
