This is being done by an organization in the United States (U.S.), the Half Moon bay. The organization is reportedly going to give a reward of USD25.000 to people who can take care of the pumpkin until it reaches a weight of 1 ton. Pumpkin is also will be crowned the world's heaviest pumpkin. So reported UPI on Tuesday (22/05/2012).
Previously a number of pumpkins had already passed the selection to the pumpkin competition in Half Moon Bay California. Further, the flask which had reached an average weight of 907 pounds to 8 October, will be declared the winner of the world's heaviest pumpkin contest this.
Until now the record for heaviest pumpkin in the world still in the hands of Jim and Kelsey Bryson couple from Wellington, Ontario. The couple managed to break the world record to take care of the pumpkin until it reaches a weight of 824 pounds.
"This is just a matter of time to see a pumpkin weighing nearly a ton. It is interesting for us to witness this monumental kesempatam. This is a tremendous opportunity," said Chairman of the Half Moon Bay contest Cameron Palmer.
