Reported by MSN, Monday (01/10/2012), in anticipation of the effects of global warming, scientists in Scotland are now suggesting solutions by utilizing the space dust. Dust is formed from an asteroid that destroyed and can act as a sun screen that leads to the earth.
Climate change due to global warming effect, making the Earth's temperature to rise. Possible solutions such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, as well as other solutions that climate manipulation controversy associated with large-scale engineering project called geoengineering.
Rather than anticipate climate change by focusing on the ocean or the atmosphere, some researchers suggest that the impact of geoengineering project could affect the entire planet. For example, a project aimed at reducing the amount of solar radiation on the earth.
A proposal to protect the earth from the sun that puts the "giant mirror" in space. However, the main problem in this concept is the need poured huge cost.
"I want to clarify that I have never suggested that geoengineering projects placed to reduce carbon emissions. We need time to find the best solutions to anticipate changes in the Earth's climate," said scientist Russell Bewick from Strathclyde University.
He said the ash cloud is not a permanent solution, but at least this can offset the effects of climate change for some time.
