Alert, Phishing Scams Not Prevalent on Facebook!

Security experts have recently discovered method of phishing scams are not uncommon. They see the movements of a malware that is designed to modify the local HOSTS file.

Researchers from Trend Micro discovered malware TSPY_MINOCDO.A, which can monitor the activity of the browser to redirect the victim to a fake Facebook page security checker.

Malware automatically waits for the user visits a page facebook.com or www.facebook.com. Well, when detected, the victim is directed to a page that tells' reliable security checks to keep Facebook free of spam ".

This request will ask for information including your name, address, telephone number, and financial details. Sophistication, the actors designing malware to perform DNS queries to a number of domains associated with phishing sites.
