    Yocha News- Paleontologists from China to announce they have discovered the largest dinosaur fossil found in the northwestern region of Xinjiang, China.

    Reported by Xinhuanet on Monday (4/16/2012), this fossil shows dinosaurs were plant eaters or herbivores type with a length of 35 meters and weight of approximately 30 tons. Deputy head of the expedition team and the Executive Director of China Research Society of Paleontology, Sun Ge said in a press conference in Shanshan County that the fossil was found in the strata of Middle Jurassic Period is approximately 165 million years ago.

    These findings make the disclosure record for the longest dinosaur ever found in the country known as The Great Wall is. Previously, the longest dinosaur ever found with a length of 30 meters.

    Sun said the expedition team will continue the excavation of fossils and hope to get a complete dinosaur skeleton. Not only that, the team also unearthed fossils of teeth that turned out to belong to extinct animals named Carnosaur is located not far from the herbivorous dinosaur fossils.

    "We hope this will memantu excavations reveal more evidence to show what caused the death of this giant creature," says Sun Ge.

    Expedition team comprising experts from the Jilin University, Shenyang Normal University and Xinjiang Geological Survey Institute. They started their expedition in the region since October last year Shanshan.
